With 12 new projects worth Bt17 billion planned for the second half of 2008, Asian Property expects to better its Bt9 billion sales target for the year, says executive vice president Visanu Suchatlumpong.

´´The second half will be better than the first half when we launched only three projects,´´ said Mr Visanu. ´´Fuel prices are on a downward trend while steel prices have tended to be stable so contractors will not panic anymore.´´

Among the 12 projects to launch before year end, seven will be low-rise units with a combined value of Bt6.32 billion. Other projects include both single-housing and townhouse developments.

The company will continue to develop its Rhythm brand of condominiums with two projects comprising over 1500 units, that are expected to bring in close to Bt5 billion. The starting price of the units will be approximately Bt90,000/sq m.

AP also plans to launch a new luxury brand for two projects located in Sathorn Soi 12 and Sukhumvit Soi 28, comprising 496 units worth 3.4 billion baht and 219 units worth 1.89 billion baht. Another project will be The Address Phaya Thai with 153 units worth 800 million baht.
